I had my follow up appointment today following my failed cycle ( no embryo to transfer) the consultant basically said that they were very shocked at our outcome and didn’t expect that to happen looking at the scans and details. They’ve suggested using two different types of stimulation drugs at the same time just split the dosage between them if we go another round as the ovilette didn’t seem to do much for my eggs to get them to fertilise.
But he said that there is a greater chance of this happening again now it’s happened and I just don’t know if I can take the heartache and the loss of so much money again!
Big decision to make 😥

hey lovely I’m sorry to hear about your last cycle. It looks like quite a number of eggs weren’t mature (as well as only 1 in 4 fertilising) did they say if this new protocol would help that or if they might keep you stimming a bit longing to help them mature?
I am in the ‘to do another round or not’ zone today and for me it’s coming down to what will I regret more not trying again or trying again and it not working. I think the not trying again regret would be too strong for me even if it doesn’t work I think I have one more round in me (although it’s gonna be an effort!) good luck whatever you decide xx
thanks! To be honest he didn’t say about stimming for longer I will ask when they call me on Tuesday.
My first cycle a few years back I got 8 eggs, 6 fertilised and 3 ended in pregnancy ( 2 miscarriage and One is my son)
This cycle I got 10 eggs, 4 matured and only 1 fertilised. And obviously didn’t make it to day 5.
The only things that changed in cycles are my age and we did a short protocol this time as the clinic don’t do long ones anymore. Oh and they don’t use Gonal F anymore.
it’s a big decision isn’t it. I think I would regret not trying one more time. Good luck to you on your journey too xx
