Advice please...

Back on the 21st July I had a failed egg collection 0 eggs retrieved. Couple of weeks later i got my period as scheduled even a couple of days early. Now I'm on cycle day 40 and still no period, usually have 28 day ish cycles. I've also been having hot flushes the last month or so (although less frequently this last week ). Could this be ivf meds still or could it be I'm perimenopausal? I'm only 38 but AMH has gone down to 2.8. Definitely not pregnant as I'm single. The next step for me is probably donor eggs so i suppose if it is menopause then it doesnt really matter so much but i just feel too young for all this it just makes me so sad 😢. Any advice greatly received I'm in between fertility clinics at the moment and getting a GP appointment is really difficult.

Sorry to hear about your failed cycle. so I’ve had the opposite issues and had short cycles after Ivf. Thinking the same re menopausal, I asked clinic who told me that it can take 3 months for cycle to return to normal and it can make you have longer or shorter cycles.

It’s the stupid large quantities of drugs that mess us up!

I don’t know if that helps but I do think it’s probably worth a conversation with your old clinic if you can to put your mind at rest.

Thanks i think if it had just been the delayed period it wouldn't have bothered me but with the hot flushes it got me worried.

my cycle after my withdrawal bleed has always been longer by 5 days or so. If your cycles were as expected prior to egg collection, I wouldn't worry. If you're struggling to get a gp appointment, then you can get blood tests fairly cheaply privately that indicate how far from the menopause you are. Try miracleinside or this is my. Good luck
