I don’t have advice, but just can share what I did. Currently 19 weeks. For my transfer, I came back and literally rested the first 24-36 hours. Only sat to eat or got up to use the loo. After that, I started regular daily activity. In terms of medication stick to the schedule. Alarms on my phone helped. For food, I ate what I liked. I did feel nauseous from my medication so could not really count on eating healthy. I did include fruits at least 2 and drank pomegranate juice every day.
Hey hun, congratulations on your transfer and best of luck.My new consultant has advised me the following:
- 3 days almost bed rest, getting up to go to the toilets only;
- for the 2ww I was allowed to drink only water, sparkling water and fresh juices. No tea, coffee, fizzy drinks, mainly water;
- eating avocado, pineapple, eggs;
- after day 3 nice relaxing walks, of course not lifting anything heavy.
Very important thing is to try and stay calm. Talk to friends, read a nice book, start a new TV series.
And the most important thing DO NOT test early, wait for OTD. With my first 3 transfers I tested as early as 4 days after the transfer and by OTD my anxiety was over the roof.
I was told - it will implant if it wants to implant.
I actually always had a walk after each transfer, drank water, took my meds and did a daily gentle walk so opposite of bedrest and implanted last three transfers. I also listened to a mindfulness IVF track each day to keep me calm.
Not my reply but thought I can share too. I personally use Mindful IVF and is absolutely brilliant! I definitely recommended it to everyone going through IVF xx
The Mindful IVF app like Klndmr said. If guides you right through the IVF process from start to the first trimester (if successful). If really helps with the days before transfer and more importantly the 2ww
The one that worked for me I went a nice long walk with my dog (stuck to mainly flat though didn’t go up the hills) and generally just carried on as normally doing things that make me happy and released lots of endorphins. I did the superstitious things too like McDonald’s fries, pineapple and Brazil nuts too. But yeah if it’s gonna implant now it will so not much you can actually ‘do’ now short of no heavy lifting just do what makes you happy and gets you through the next few weeks!
I had a 4CC transferred on Thursday (trying for a sibling) so we are 2WW buddies 🤗💜🤞🏽
Hey. Obviously works differently for everyone but this is what worked for me - currently 26 weeks. Took the day of transfer and the day after off work. Day of transfer, we just chilled but I was up and about. The next day we were pretty active, went for a walk and did some house viewings. Then for the rest of the TWW I lived my life pretty normally. I have an active job which includes lifting etc. I did avoid heavy exercise eg. Cycling to work as I normally would, but mainly just wanted to remove the risk of getting knocked off.
I’ve heard that it’s important to keep active as it increases blood supply to your uterus! That can only be a good thing!
And I agree with klndmr! Don’t test early. It’ll drive you mad. And don’t go symptom spotting. I was pretty sure of a failure. My OTD was day 11 and by then I had no symptoms at all. Nothing is official till test day, so there’s no point testing before then and stressing yourself out!
Hey lovely! Not sure I can offer any advice I’ve read soooo much and it all seems to be pretty conflicting and gets my head in a mess 😂 but I had my FET yesterday too after an unsuccessful transfer in May! If you need anyone to chat too I’m around 🥰 xx
Congratulations on your transfer! I support what others said - not much we can do about implementation. Personally I strongly suggest switching off the internet - you begin to read unsuccessful stories and get yourself anxious and stressed.
In both successful transfers I was active as normal, working day after transfer (primary school), walking, eating and all. Now I'm 12 weeks and in addition to that I wrestle and run after my almost (!) 4 year old. I also traveled to Europe 3 days in a car and back. If the embryo is strong enough the stick, it will, whatever you do or eat.
Relax, take a book and put your phone away. Go for a walk. Enjoy. You are pregnant until proven otherwise ❤️
Hiya , Just saw your post and i had an embryo transfer the same day as you. How are you feeling? x
A day or two can make all the difference. I tested negative one day then faint positive the next day, it has to change at some point right? We're all different as to when we see that faint line too ❤️ xxx
hi i feel very anxious and scared, i have stopped having symptoms and feel normal big day tomorrow what about you xx
I know I feel scared too! Its really good that you had symptoms though, mine stopped suddenly too with my last baby when waiting to test and shes here beside me now napping . I just didnt feel much this time and had a negative this morning (day9). Its my last chance to give her a sibling. Best of luck to you for tomorrow. I really hope it works out fir you xx
