Embryo transferred and fries devoured!

We have successfully transferred a 4ab (I think) embryo today that was expanding well after the thaw. So hopefully our little twiglet will begin to implant and grow to start to our family tree 🌳

I have also devoured 2 large McDs french fries just in case the old wives tale from On here the other day is true! 🙊

I wasn’t allowed any pics of the embryo (didn’t even show me this time) but the wife drove me in and waited in the car park we had a nice afternoon together so we are both feeling really positive.

I am obviously now doing the ridiculous worrying that I might cough or wee the embryo out but at the least the 2WW nerves haven’t kicked in yet and I’m still on the embryo transfer day high 😊

Good luck! I had my FET this morning. I didn’t have fries- wish I’d known about that 😬. But I have had pineapple and Brazil nuts. Happy to follow any old nonsense if it might make a difference. Let’s hope the next couple of weeks fly by. X

I always laughed at the old wives tales then found myself buying Brazil nuts pineapple and then Ordering chips with my lunch! Must be more impressionable than I thought I was!

Yip I’m 4DP5DT and I’m feeling good, no symptoms just light cramping but that started with the pessaries so (telling myself) it’s not related. I almost don’t want any symptoms so that they can’t go away, such a daft thing to say but o think it make sense! Xxx

Makes complete sense! I have found myself on previous goes walking around squeezing my boobs to check they still hurt 🙈😆 There is just really no way of telling what’s a symptom and what’s not so I’m like you explain everything away as it’s the safest option xx

Us IVF ladies must be increasing the queue at the drive through for sure! Yes the countdown begins hopefully we can keep each other sane 🤗 xx

Yay! Great news! I ate lots of red fruit (good for blood flow) as well as pineapple and slept on my left side, plus I had the fries - any excuse😉 anyway worked for me so I’d always recommended it all!

I also avoided google this time - no idea how and listened to the Mindful IVF app.
