donor egg - we got 3 embryos

well we just had the call out of the 4 eggs that fertilised we've got 3 embryos! So strange as I dreamt last night it would be 3 can't believe it! All suitable for freezing too 2 graded 8 and 1 graded 10! It's a mix of emotions as I'm really happy we've done so well but at the same time it's hard when it's not my egg, but that's normal I'm sure. Can finally breathe now for a bit xx

That's amazing news, 3 embryos is brilliant! We also had 4 eggs fertilise and 3 became embryos from donor eggs. I've never got that many from my eggs so know what you mean about being a little sad - why wouldn't my body work like other womens do 🤷🏼‍♀️ Anyway after a little melancholy I'm back to being totally invested in all of these little embryos now!When are you looking to do your first transfer? Thank you! We are so happy with the outcome, we only had 6 eggs collected so we were only expecting 1 embryo so we feel so lucky we got 3. I had 6 collected on my first attempt, then a canx round and then only 1 on our 3rd go. We took the decision to move to donor due to my age. It difficult to get your head around as you feel inadequate to a degree, well I did anyway. It's really helped reading peopels experiences though and I am do thankful to our donor what a wonderful thing to do. We have a trip planned for early October with my inlaws so we are planning on starting my meds end of October hopefully. When are you looking to do yours? Wishing you lots of luck too xx

Congrats! That’s amazing news! We’ve got 4 donor eggs in the freezer hoping to thaw in two weeks & do icsi with my husbands sperm so this gives me hope 😊 when will you be doing the transfer?

Awww that’s awesome!! And of course it’s normal to feel that way, DEIVF is though to get your head around - grieving the loss of your genetic connection to your children is hard! But honestly, it was the best thing I’ve ever done 🥰 I now have the bestest and most wonderful twin girls and I couldn’t be happier. I rarely think about the fact that they are from donor eggs and even when I do, I’m not bothered by it at all. My dinner gave me the best gift ever, but I still had to grow them and birth them and parent them. There is no doubt in my mind that they are my babies and I couldn’t love them more!

Awww that's lovely to hear! I've read lots into it and I do follow defining mum on Instagram actually. It's good to hear other people's experiences and feelings etc. That's it, it's just getting your head around the fact that you are the one who carries them etc.It's such a wonderful thing to do, these ladies that become donors really are angels!
