ERA results....not quite as simple as I thought

Hi all,

So another day another thing I didn't see coming.

Had my first EndriomeTRIO biopsy in May and ERA came back post receptive so the 114hr of progesterone was too much and missed my implantation window. Was told to redo but 12 hours earlier so had the biopsy this round after 102 hours and came back Friday as pre receptive. I mean that's a proper short window but thought at least we have an answer and will do 108 and can start next round.

Got a call today and they have re-looked and because they spotted a follicle and then started Progesterone the next day on the second ERA they should have taken my progesterone levels there and then so effectively it could be an inaccurate result. They now want me to do an ERA again and have a blood test before start the progesterone then doa biopsy....one at 100 hrs and one at 120hr. And I have to pay for that.

I just dont know what to do. My consultant says she thinks that considering the first one showed 118 was late it's silly to redo at 120 and would suggest just ignoring their recommendation and doing the next FET at 108hr. We have 2 frosties before our journey is finished so don't want to waste with the wrong results but also dont want to pay or go through anything unnecessarily. Although I might challenge the clinic to cover the fee as they told us to go ahead and didnt take a progesterone blood test.

Anyone have similar experiences or anything that could help me consider what to do next?

Thanks you lovely people x

Personally I would challenge. I've never heard of doing an ERA without doing a progesterone test before...and if that's the reason they're suggesting you do it again it's worth following up on that before making a decision.

Sorry you're facing this, it's hard when these things make an already hard process harder, and as you say you don't want to waste these precious embryos!! 💕💕

Hi Purple. Perhaps do another test, but with a progesterone level beforehand. Good luck! Diane
