Good morning, I’m interested to know if there is anyone who’s had success with 4 frozen eggs? We’ve been given the opportunity of 4 frozen donor eggs which will be thawed and ICSI performed with my husbands sperm. I’m reluctant to get my hopes up that all 4 eggs will even survive the thawing process never mind be fertilised and get 1 half decent embryo. This is out last chance after TTC for 10 years, 4 failed IUI & 2 Failed IVF with ICSI 5 years ago with my own eggs.

Frozen egg success
Hi Hopingforamiracle. We had the first successful twins born from frozen eggs at my local clinic some years ago now. The process to freeze eggs, called vitrification is great, as you don't get ice crystals forming and gives them a better chance to thaw successfully. Just really wanted to wish you all the best, and of couse for success! Diane
Hi, I had 3 frozen embryo performed with ICSI. Put 2 back in last year and unfortunately it didn't take but the last one was the one and I now jabe a baby girl.
Thanks for replying, gives me hope! Congratulations on your baby girl 😊
Have you asked for the stats from your clinic? From what I understand it is likely there will be some drop-off at each stage, based on 4 eggs I would expect maybe one blastocyst embryo due to the drop- off at each stage (please bear in mind that this is based only on what I have read and my limited knowledge in this area, not to be taken as fact!). Good luck X
Thanks for replying. Yes I have asked the nurse said she’d expect 3 if not 4 to survive thawing, I spoke with the embryologist who said 85% survive due to this new vitrification process they use. They can’t give me much more info than that. I was thinking along the same lines as you given what I’ve read and the loss of some at each stage that’s why I wasn’t feeling very hopeful of getting any by the end. I’m hoping I’m wrong and we do get a good outcome 🤞🏼
