Clearblue Digital Going Backwards?!

Hello all,

So after my freakout last week that my test was lighter (due to my CP in Sept last year), I took your advice (thank you) and stopped using the cheap strips. The FRER I used was super dark; a dye stealer in fact! I was so relieved.

I had a few days of relative calm before I took another test on Tuesday (5w 1d) with FMU using a Clearblue digital just to alleviate my anxiety that I might not be pregnant anymore which said 3+. I was over the moon.

I had another left in the packet so this afternoon (5w 4d) I took it and it said 2-3. I did wait 4hrs to do the test but my urine wasn't as concentrated as FMU (I could tell by the colour).

I am now spiralling once again. Just spent the last two hours sobbing. My clinic do not do blood tests as standard but I called them and they said I could come in tomorrow at 8am for a blood test but could not promise I would get the results till Monday morning.

Do you think I should fear the worst?

WHHHHYYYYYYYYY!? Don’t do an afternoon test and compare it to a FMU test!! I know you are desperate for reassurance but it’s never going to end well - it will always be weaker

Try and keep calm. Those tests are evil, I understand you have horrible history but every pregnancy is different and there is no reason why this one isn’t you lucky one. Keep the faith! Good luck xx

I would suggest you stop testing. There isn’t much point at this stage, it is best to wait for viability scan, particularly if you don’t have any concerning symptoms. Take one day at a time, you are pregnant right now, and take it easy. I hope it all goes well.

Look up ‘hook effect’ it could this! Made me panic about that stage too so I stopped testing at about 5and a half weeks as it was messing with brain big time! Good luck lovely xxx

Thanks all! I took another test yesterday morning and it said 3+ again. I got my blood test results this morning (from yesterday) and they were 5321 (think I should be 5w and 5d). Having another test to ensure HCG is going up. Fingers crossed xxx
