Clearblue test going backward? Wks indicator? UPDATE it was not a good sign..

Has anyone has a clearblue test show 1-2 weeks AFTER previously showing 2-3 week?

I am so worried this pregnancy is going away. Both tests were FMU first morning urine.

5wks 5 days pregnant

UPDATE: When done with the first morning Urine I believe these tests can show a drop in hcg levels. Maybe not correct wks indication as ppl may vary...but but if it goes backwards it is not a good sign.

Is there any way that your clinic would do an hCG for you? This is the only way to know for sure what is going on or do you have a scan booked? Hugs, its a horrible time the waiting for the next step.xx

Good luck.xxx

Hi, I didnt have this but I did have a test that never progressed past 1-2 weeks - even when I was nearly at 6 weeks. During this period I googled about 10000000 times a day, and found as many stories of fluctuating weeks readings which had positive outcomes as I did negative.

My general conclusion was they are so sensitive to even the smallest thing like how much water you drank over night etc that you can't really use them as a guide... like Cinderella says if you are worried I would either go to your clinic or your EPU and ask for bloods.. but don't rely on CB digital as a sign things are going wrong. I also read after a certain level of hormone they start going haywire as they are not designed to measure higher than a certain level, so can give lower weeks readings despite higher levels, which is why you aren't supposed to keep using them.

Wishing you heaps of luck, totally get the angst of what you are going through xx

Thanks for your reply. Yeah I totally get it. If I wasnt also constantly spotting/bleeding I wouldnt be too concerned. But fingers crossed for my blood test tomorrow.

Hi, ah serial testing! Please please try not to, and I'm talking from experience... and I know how hard it is to resist that reassurance. As others have said, the tests are so sensitive. I got myself into a a right state over a similar situation and ended up at the early pregnancy unit in floods of tears convinced I was losing. The baby was absolutely fine; she is now my lovely 4 year old girl! It is way too early to have symptoms for most people and all the test really confirms is that you are pregnant- which you are. I think these clear blue tests are a curse for us ivf women. Wishing you all the luck in the world xxxxxx

I'm out. The clinic just rang with my results and hcg dropped to 43. I have to stop all meds and wait for the bleed. I'm numb. Going home from work now.

Thank you for your support. It was a miscarriage . I think it might be termed as a missed miscarriage.

So sorry to hear this. I’ve had 2 MMC and so have some understanding of how devastating they are and how they can really mess with your head! Here and happy for you to PM me if you ever need to chat xxx
