There are a number of posts on almost every forum I visit that state similar confusion with Clearblue Digital. Some reason it with the fact that Dr calculates pregnancy from CD1 while Digital calculates it from the point of conception. That explanation does not sound much reassuring to me though. I assume it's the hormone level that causes such deviation. Maybe the range is not very well defined and that's why even the slightest difference in hormone levels can possibly show up an incorrect result in terms of pregnancy week. However, I didn't find any supporting data or information online to support my assumptions. Irrespective of the reason, the fact that a lot of women have had noticed the same mismatch in Clearblue Digital's pregnancy week results should somewhat relieve you of your worries. Certainly, you're not the only one and all these possibly indicate that it's not a sign of some pregnancy-related shortcomings either. Just relax and try to avoid stress as of now, in few weeks time you'll be able to see it all in USG. Wish you a happy and healthy gestation.
I can totally understand your worries! Getting pregnant and the following gestation is sort of a nature designed wholesome programme to make a mother out of a woman. It puts the patience and optimism on the test throughout. Wish you luck and strength to get past your worries smoothly!
don't get sucked in. It's a money spinner that causes nothing but worry. I gave up trying to get the 3+ and i was 9 weeks pregnant. Went on to have a healthy baby. Save yourself the worry and the money. don't buy them ❤
Our clinic practically forbids the use of the digital weeks tests, apparently they are very unreliable in IVF pregnancy. Don’t worry, most important thing is you have your BFP .. although that is easier said than done I know! Xx
I'm glad you've asked this question. I was thinking of getting one in the next few weeks but after some replies I think I might give it a miss. It seems they can be quite unreliable and could cause unnecessary worry xxx
