5 + 5 with high hcg - no fetal pole

just an update as I know I’ve been posting quite a bit so a few people are following for the outcome. I just had a scan at the EPU & they seen a sac & yolk but no fetal pole. I know this can be normal but I thought with a hcg level at 18dp5dt was 9083 & I thought the baby would have been visable. I have another scan in a weeks time I’m hoping that I have a baby there with a heartbeat. I’ve been spotting brown & did pass a big brown clot today so I don’t know if to relax & be positive or expect the worse

I would say this is positive, it’s still very early to see the baby. I was scanned at 5+4 and no baby visible. This of course worried me as I thought they’d at least see something starting. Two days later there was a heartbeat. These things grow fast and I didn’t realise how fast so please don’t worry ♥️Xx

I actually read your post & it’s give me so much hope 🥰❤️ Do you know what your levels of hcg were ? Xx

🥰🥰 it’s so stressful I know but also take positivity from the fact it’s in the right place! When I was 5+3 I think my levels were around 5000 something, then 5+6 around 12000. The doctor told me they would see something and that just added to my stress when they didn’t, but the sonographer wasn’t worried at all. You’ve got this ♥️♥️xx

I realise this is an old post but I’m adding my story here for others as I’ve really benefitted from old posts. I’m an IVF patient and had an FET. HCG at 12dp5dt was 913 IU/L. At 5+5 I had a scan which showed the gestational sac (10.7mm) and yolk sac but no fetal pole. Went back a week later and had an embryo and a heartbeat. Another scan today 8+5 everything looks fine, heartbeat at 173 and CRL at 20mm so measuring 1 day behind which the doctor said was no big deal.
