I’ve lost the plot!

Hello! So I know I posted about symptom spotting. Thank you all for your wise words by the way. I went to work today and forgot about it all and then I’ve come home and had a wee and bam I’m spotting! It’s only a tiny tiny bit but I am having mild cramps and now I’m worried my period is coming! I’m 4DP5DT today but before this I was taking the pill back to back due to endo. I’ve attached a photo (TMI I’m sorry!) but I’ve officially lost the plot and I don’t know if I should ring my clinic to ask for their advice as I’m scared I’m out of my periods on it’s way!

Thank you, this usually happens before my period so I’m really worried! I’m going to call my clinic tomorrow and ask them, maybe they could check my progesterone but I’m already on x2 400mg xx

It is too early to be a period so it has to be implantation spotting, I think! At least it is a positive sign. I would get a FRER test to tomorrow or the next day to confirm.

Thank you lovely. I really really don’t want to test!! I’ve had 2 years of negatives and I can’t bear seeing another! I’m going to call my clinic and see what they say but I’m booked in for my pregnancy test bloods doing on the 20th so I’ll try and hold out until then 🤞🏻

I experienced this around the same time post transfer and for me it was likely implantation spotting. I'm holding my little boy now from that cycle 😍

I get that completely and it can happen after a long time of negatives; we're in our 30s, creeping closer to 40 😬 and took us over 6 years for our first ever positive. Really hoping this is your time xx

It could be anything my lovely implantation, irritation from pessaries or indeed period. Sometimes I just get some spotting from the catheter going in and it shows a few days later. Defo phone your clinic if it will help but mine just always say keep taking your meds and test on test day 🤷🏻‍♀️Good luck xx

Thank you! I’ve been taking the pessaries rectally so I don’t think it’s that, I’ve had some more pink spotting this morning so I’m trying to prepare myself for my period. Im going to speak to a nurse today because surely I shouldn’t be getting my period this soon after the transfer? Im only 5DP! Xx

It does sound quite early for period (earliest I’ve had mine is 7dpt) but could be some break through bleeding or absolutely indeed implantation 🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽Xxx

It started yesterday so 4DP5DT and still having it today at 5DP5DT. I’m not sure when my period would even be due after all the meds I’ve been on! Hopefully the nurse can offer some advice, I thought about maybe asking to get my progesterone levels checked in case they’re too low? Xx

Yeah that would be good if they could do that, my clinic don’t really do that test just add more in without testing but if yours would do that I think it’s worth trying! All we can do is prepare for the worst and hope for the best and I’m hoping for the best for you 🤗💜 xx

Hello, this is a positive sign so long as the spotting doesn’t turn into a bleed. It’s around the time of implantation so fingers crossed for you. No harm in getting prog levels checked and requesting more supplementation. You can do a preg test in 48 hours as well because enough time will have passed since the spotting to give you a positive result. Best of luck xx

Thank you, a nurse is going to call me this afternoon so I’ll ask if I can get it checked and see what she says. I’ve had some lower back/cramping on and off yesterday too. I’m really reluctant to take a test as I just wanted to get the results form the blood test I’ll be having on the 20th! I’ve seen too many negatives I can’t bear to see another one xx

Update - pretty sure I’m out. I’ve had some red blood since on and off, I spoke to the nurse who said there’s nothing they can do and to wait it out. Feeling devastated

Really sorry to see this lovely. But, red doesn’t mean you’re definitely out. It’s so hard to keep going but it’s not long til test day. Hugs xx

That’s what my OH keeps saying. I’m having AF type cramps too. It’s not a full bleed but heavier spotting than yesterday. I usually spot a few days before my period too so I think it’s that. Im just annoyed that we didn’t even get to test day!! X

Cramps also don’t mean you’re out but I totally know how you’re feeling. Be extra kind to yourself, either way xx

Hope you’re ok. It’s not uncommon to bleed before OTD. This happened to me and it was indeed my period. Demand more progesterone next time. Haven’t had a successful round yet but at least I only bleed a few days after I stop the meds. Wishing you all the best either way xx

Thank you! It’s literally been a tiny bit over the days 4,5 & 6 DP5DT. Never enough to mark my pants, but there when I wipe some times. I had cramps too a few days ago that have stopped now so I’m wondering if it’s my period trying to start but the pesseries are holding it off? I have my blood test on Wednesday xx

It’s so hard to know without a home or blood test at this point but I’d say the fact that it’s a tiny bit is a positive sign (I had a full flow) so keeping everything crossed for you xx
