We got our first BFP on Sunday gone - so happy. Yesterday though I had some mild cramps and some spotting. Only when I wipe. This morning cramps appear to have gone 🤞🤞 and brown discharge. Nurse at clinic said to monitor for two days but that it’s normal and ‘needs to come away’ from the transfer 🤷🏻♀️ Anyone else had a similar experience?
Every failed cycle I’ve had started with brown spotting and then built up to full period so I have complete PTSD and I’m so anxious.

I had the exact same thing at 5 weeks. Went to walk in clinic and was told to rest but was probably old blood that needed to come away or irritation from pessaries. It lasted 3-4 days. 🥰😍😘 try and keep calm but if it gets worse call your GP.
It happened to me at about 6 weeks spotting went to early pregnancy unit I was scanned nd told all was fine , happened again at 9 weeks plus this time much more but went to the epu baby doing gud. Just some old blood 😞was told some ppl spot during often during the first trimester
I know the anxiety as my two transferred that didn't work for had spotting. Then third transfer had spotting at 5 and 7 weeks. He is now 3 months old. I was told the spotting was due to pessaries and irritation but I noticed it started when I did more fitness activitiy in hindsight might have been too much.
I hope all is okay for you, this does not mean the worse! X
With my first pregnancy I had brown spotting from 8dp5dt up until 8 weeks (she’s now 2 🥰) I’m now 21 weeks pregnant after second FET and brown spotting started around 5 weeks followed by pink but stopped after a few days. Like you have, I spent hours on this site searching through other people’s posts and found outcomes to be pretty 50/50 but in my case spotting was totally normal and hopefully it will be the same this time for you 🤞🏻
I had the same at 5 weeks (once the discharge was pink, which freaked me out, but is apparently common?), and it still happens every now and then now that I’m on week 9 (sometimes after exercise although midwife says not related). I’m always told to rest after spotting, which I quite enjoy… maybe plan a quiet day or so? 😍🥳
Haha - it’s really good to know people go through the same thing and are fine. I spoke to my sister who used to be a midwife and she said it’s really common and she had it with my niece. My other friend who has just had a successful IVF birth said she has it on day 6/7/8 post pregnancy test and on day 10 with quite bad cramps and all was fine. And another friend and another friend and another friend. Turns out when you talk to people it’s super common! Yesterday I was screaming ‘why don’t women talk about this stuff? Why don’t we know these things about our own bodies?!’ Insane but also super good to know it happens to a lot of people in first trimester. I’m obviously still worried - it’s a bit different for us IVF warriors - sending you love xx
Hello ladies I’m currently 5 weeks and 3 days post FET my first cycle. Yesterday I had a heavy red bleed passing clots and cramping. I’ve expected the worst. I rang the clinic who told me not to worry and that it’s too early to do anything . The bleeding stopped after sn hour but was heavy. I was wondering if anyone has experianced the same thing? Xxx
I’ve not experienced that I’m afraid. My bleed this time has only remained brown and I’ve not passed clots. I think you need to listen to your clinic and just wait it out - it’s so hard isn’t it? I know some people who have had red bleeds and it has been a hematoma so it’s not always a bad sign.
I really hope it’s that. It the clots that are making me worried. I have an acupuncture session tomorrow hopefully that may help to calm my nerves. Just seems like forever the wait till Friday xx
