Egg collection update

Hi everyone,

Just thought I’d post an update from my hospital bed. Had my egg collection this morning as some of you may know. Wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who shared their experiences it really helped. The worst bit was getting the cannula put in as I started to bleed really heavily and almost fainted! I had to be laid down with my legs in the air 😂 felt like a bit of a drama queen but the nurses were lovely!

I woke up to the news that 14 eggs have been collected!! I’m absolutely over the moon! The nurse who did my scan who counted 14 follicles warned me I won’t get 14 eggs so I’m absolutely chuffed!

I was so worried about not getting any so 14 feels like such an achievement! For once I’m so proud of my body and it feels like my body is actually on my side!

Thank you! Absolutely 🙌🏻 I’ve actually just woken up from a 5 hour nap! That sedation definitely did it’s job well 😂 Now to just wait for the call to see how well they’ve fertilised 🤞🏻xxx

Yes they should be calling tomorrow to let us know, we’re having ICSI too xx
