Just got home from my egg collection. Super stressful but mainly because of my nerves and the fear of the unknown! In very small amount of discomfort but taking the time to relax in bed.
They managed to get 14 eggs from me which I am absolutely over the moon about!!
Hope the little things manage to fertilise to put my mind at ease! I’m over the moon currently so hopefully my bubble isn’t burst!

Wow 14!! What meds/ supplements were you on. Were you sedated
I was on 225iu of menopur a day and 0.5ml of buserelin. No supplements. Yes, egg collection is done under general anaesthetic
Any side effects I am wondering if this is good for me
It’s a standard procedure with IVF. You receive stimulation to make you produce more follicles than normal, and then you go under the anaesthetic to have them taken out, they’re then fertilised and then the best is put back into you. There are few side effects

Unfortunately none of my eggs fertilised overnight. They are going to look at them again and let me know at 3pm, but they think it’s unlikely now. Hope you have better news x
I have 10 fertilised eggs and will be going in for transfer on Saturday. I hope you get some better news xx
