Hi everyone, just on our way back from EC and managed to get 11 eggs. I am happy with that result and hubby’s sample is good enough for icsi, so can relax for now as this hurdle is over & just going home to relax but absolutely dreading the call tomorrow 😬but for now I’m happy 👌🏻💞☀️

Glad egg collection went well for you. Do you mind me asking if you had sedation or general anaesthetic? My clinic is offering both but I think I want to go for sedation as it should be quicker to recover from after.
Thank you 😘yes I would definitely opt for sedation as you aren’t sedated for long and I think you don’t feel so bad when you wake up, from my experience anyway. Course I don’t mind you asking. Wishing you all in the luck in the world xx

Thanks hun. All 11 fertilised which was amazing to hear, I cried for an hour after that phone call. I was so worried none would connect with husband's sperm.
Out of that 7 developed to day 3 but on a day of the transfer (day 5) we were told we lost 6 and only one made it to the blastocyst. I was shocked we lost 6. But that one little fighter is now my baby boy in my belly.
Never ever give up hope even if the numbers will start going down.

So we got the call today, after I think I wore the carpet out in our house waiting for it & we have 3 fertilised which I am over the moon about currently, as last cycle we didn’t get past this stage as when they called none had fertilised.. so today was a great day for us! Still a long way to go, but hoping all stays ok for transfer day on Thursday 🤞🏻🤞🏻

I am doing well, was really anxious and still worried something will go wrong but I want to enjoy this pregnancy so I celebrate every day, every week, every little milestone for this little fighter. He deserves it.

Ahh thank you! Yes currently a day 3 transfer, they said they would call us early on Thursday AM if any changes to us going in on Sat instead, but I have a feeling it will be Thursday.
It’s natural to feel that way, once going through such an emotional time to get our goals, but like you said, celebrate every time you can and every milestone as you guys did it and your little baby boy is growing, waiting to meet you ♥️♥️ I also have a little boy from icsi (3.5 now) and I worried when I was carrying him, he is absolutely amazing and I was so lucky too. You are about to embark in the best part of your lives so defo celebrate every day ☺️💞🦋🎉xxx

11 is fab?! I got 10 last week, 8 were mature and 6 fertilised, 4 nice looking embryos at the end. Everyone is so different but you’ll be great with 11 as a base. Keep us all posted! Xx

Aw magic! So glad you only have to wait til tomorrow for the big transfer! If you like listening to people telling you you're awesome and you've done a great job - then defo download Mindful IVF (if you haven't already) you have to pay a few quid for the Egg Transfer mini meditations and the 2WW ones but I've found them invaluable. Particularly as my partner is totally freaked out by this whole thing so I need to find solace elsewhere! I had FOUR put back in - the Greek are generous And I'm 43 so... best chance. I'm good. Not back at work til Monday - which is my OTD - so I'm just chilling out - lurking in forums - having bizarre progesterone dreams - meeting friends for lunch. Where in the world are you? xx

Oh great. I've heard Guys is brilliant. I'm back in HK where I live and work. From Manchester originally but been out here since 2002.
Not brave at all, unfortunately. Odds for a 43 year old conceiving with IVF are 3% and in all research on multiples - the most anyone anywhere near my age gets with 4 transferred is twins - at 41 - and even then only 10%.
Anything sticking at all will be miraculous. Especially with my stressed out partner's freaky fragmented seed - thank god for PICSI so we hopefully got the good ones. Between my geriatric eggs and his reluctant sperm - a transfer of 4 could just be the magic we need!
Lovely you already have a three year old - twins would be a blessing if they came - they're mega hard work but insanely cute. One of my best friends has some - they're intense
Yeah - defo download mindful IVF - I listen to the appropriate day every night before I fall asleep. Mind you - with a three year old - meditation may not be top of your list!

We only had 3 our last round so we’re really happy right now. Finger crossed there good quality 🤞🏻

Hi Michael30, my congratulations with your retrieval. 11 is a very good number so you have good chances to have great embryos. When will you know about that? Thank you so much 😘got the call around 11.30am & we have currently 3 fertilised embryos, which I am so happy about as last cycle (beginning of the year), when we got the call, we didn’t have any fertilised, so that was the end of that cycle for us, so this cycle is already so much better. WOW! Thursday is great! Will be keeping everything crossed for you tomorrow)) How many embryos are you going to transfer? I had 3 embryos as well. For the first time, I have transferred 2 fresh embryos but they didn't stick((. For the second time, I had only one frozen embryo which was, actually, bfn. As a result, I had an mc because of my health issues but I felt that it might happen so didn't lose my hope and moving forward. Best wishes to you dear!
