Hiya - so my fifth transfer has failed. Cycle 1 we collected 13 eggs - only 6 fertilised and 1 made it to blastocyst (grade A). Cycle 2 we collected 4 eggs, all 4 fertilised and 1 made it to blastocyst (grade c) and 1 was a morula - both were transferred. Cycle 3 - 12 eggs collected and 5 fertilised - we had 2 reach blastocyst - both grade b. One was transferred and the other frozen. When the frozen embryo was defrosted it became grade a before transfer. Cycle 4 - 9 eggs collected, 5 fertilised and only 1 blastocyst (grade c). All resulted in BFN. I’m 40 in October and losing hope - particularly as we’ve never made it to a positive (and then there are the worries around miscarriage!). I’ve been pregnant 4 times previously - but 2 miscarriages and 2 ectopic. I had to have my tubes clipped because of the ectopic so ivf is the only option for us now! Does anyone have any success stories of people who have had babies on 6th transfer or more, particularly anyone 39+!

Yes! I had 6 blastocyst embryos fail and one then stuck (when I was 39) and is now my baby boy… so we were lucky number 7. It was really hard to keep going for that many transfers, but it did happen eventually for us! Sending love and strength!! X
Yes! My sister! Last two 'worst' embryos were transfers 7 and 8. Transfer 7 is now 4 years old and transfer 8 is 1!! She had never been pregnant before and couldn't conceive naturally and they really were her 2 last chances! A friend of mine had her first child on her 9th transfer! Good luck x
Thank you! These stories are giving me hope ❤️ Xx
