Hi, I'm new here and I guess I am looking for success stories.
My first IVF cycle got cancelled after 6 days of stims as I had two dominant follicles and a 4 smaller ones. I have low AMH/AFC and only one ovary is accessible so they cancelled to try and get all 6 follicles growing at the same rate to give better chances.
To do this, I am starting with 7 days of Oestrogen priming before starting to stim again. Has anyone been in the same situation and had a positive outcome? Thanks

Hi marbs. Oh dear so sorry to hear this. However, the clinic is already having a rethink putting you on oestrogen. I am sure they will do all they can for a better result next time. Good luck! Diane
Hi there, sorry to hear your cycle has been cancelled. I’ve had a cancelled cycle, so I know how it feels. No positive outcome yet for me...still hoping. It’s a positive sign that your clinic are making changes though. Hopefully things will improve with your next cycle x
Hi there I'm sorry you had the cycle cancelled. I chose to see my first round, which was also cancelled, as a learning experience for myself and the clinic, but I was still very disappointed the first couple of days. I had a very similar response to you on my first round (despite having high AMH and AFC count). I was on the antagonist protocol. For the second one they doubled the stimulation meds for the first couple of days (and then lowered to 1.5x the original dose) and I ended up with 8 mature eggs, 7 fertilised and 3 top quality blastocysts. Due to my age we had two transferred and I am currently 15 weeks pregnant with twins
It is good they have already made changes! Next round will hopefully be better
Thank you for sharing. I’m on antagonist protocol and high dose as it is. Really hoping for success. I don’t know how people go through multiple IVF cycles, they’re so strong!
I’m sorry you’ve had to go through this but from personal experience I wouldn’t always trust what the clinic say. I was told to abandon my cycle because they said there weren’t enough eggs (2-3), I said no I’ll go ahead with it because at the end of the day it only takes one. Thank goodness I did because they got 6 in the end and now I’m pregnant, I still feel so angry about it
Thank you for sharing! I had the same feeling as I thought day 6 stims was early to make the call. I have one cycle one the NHS so I think I’ll push for it to continue this time. Im never going to get lots of eggs anyway! Hopefully the one or two I get would be good enough like you 💛
Everything crossed for you 🤞🏼 The clinic even kept telling me themselves that it’s more about quality then quantity! I was on the short protocol this time around but did get much better quality embryos (2 made it to day 5) then when I was on the standard high dose previously. I also used Proceive vitamins for a while before my treatment and I do feel they helped.
