Hi all! Hope you’ve all had a lovely Easter 😊😙I had my scan today on day 10 of stims - hopefully all ready for egg retrieval on Wednesday/Thursday dependent on blood results 🤞
It showed 20 follicles total with 12 beings between 15-20mm!
Has anyone got any tips as to what to expect/anything I can do to prepare?
Xx

That’s such a great number 😬 Do you know if you having sedation or will be awake? I had sedation - if its sedation nothing to be prepared for as you just have a good sleep and wake up and will be ok within few hours. Good luck either way I’m sure you will be fine 💕
Thank you it’s my first round so not too sure what I’m as expecting number wise!! I’ll be having it under a light sedation they’ve said I shouldn’t remember anything ☺️
Yes defo drink some water before the cut off time. And take some snacks as you will be hungry after. I have had two and both times had a big afternoon nap so defo don't plan anything. Maybe get some nice treats or teas and a magazine. Also following morning you will have the phone call about how many fertilised. Nice to be in a private place for that 💜 Good luck!
The things we do to get pregnant!I remember my first egg collection I was a little bit nervous and turns out it's easy!
Hope you'll get a good numbers of mature eggs and a good fertilization!
I remember my first egg collection we got 13 mature eggs great quality but only 2 fetalized and I had to do a 3rd day transfer (didn't work) I was devastated!!!!
Second time same number of eggs and I was not so sad when we got the call that only 4 got fertilized and I'll be going a 3rd day transfer (kinda expected it) and i don't know why or how but it worked!!!!
Awh thank you so much me too! I know exactly what you mean I’m so grateful it’s available but definitely not the most enjoyable experience I’ve ever had in my life 😂😂
Agree with the above - have gone through it 3 times. Don’t remember any of them because always under light sedation. Was a bit nervous first time but it was totally fine... Try and relax and hope for the best.
Make sure you give yourself a day or two to rest after - you might feel totally fine within an hour or two, or you might be a bit achy and bloated, so don’t make too many plans for the day after just in case 🤞 x
Hello lovely. Best tip is just to make sure you have something easy to chuck in the oven when you get home/lots of snacks and treats/some rehydration drinks. The sedation can make you feel a bit floppy/sick afterwards so you won’t want to cook! Xxx
