Hi,

Just saw the latest delays update. I did speak to them a week or 2 ago and was told they’re looking into outsourcing their IVF to other clinics. Has anyone received the letter they said they’re sending out this week? I haven’t received anything so eager to know what it says xx

Hey! I’m Homerton too! It’s a total mess. I’ve received nothing - just the website pop up. I just had a failed FET and they won’t even do my other embryo transfers. Saying they will pay for embryos to be moved etc.

I spoke to my gp who said they only found out 4 days ago… they got told they’ll get more info on 15th. Gp said it’s been a really mess and she’s never seen anything like before.

I got the impression we were going to be transferred to Bart’s or guys and Thomas.

I’m not sure where you live but I’ve gone to Stella Creasy about it to see if she can apply any pressure.

It’s all staffing.

They just need staff.

Surely that’s a better fix than all this.

Perhaps some group pressure might be good?

Useful to know thanks. Yeah I’m so pissed off. We had a miscarriage following our last fet and they waited til our appointment to restart drugs, 4 months later to tell us it was all off. We’ve spoken to a private clinic about possibly moving but if Homerton are potentially paying to move embryos it’s possibly worth waiting to see. To be honest I’ll be glad to leave there, I have huge gratitude as we have a son from one of our transfers there but they have acted really badly on several occasions so I’m happy with moving.

We must be in the same borough - she’s also our MP and I think that’s a really good idea. Let me know if you hear anything and I’ll do the same xx

Just had chemical and it’s been quite brutal. Defo email Stella. And I might try CCG tmrw as well to see if they’ll directly fund patients… read in extraordinary circumstances they will consider that…

I wasn’t with Hommerton (my experience there hasn’t been positive) so I pushed for Bart’s. If you can get moved there I’d recommend it. Even while having building work done it’s been running smoothly. Good luck.

NHS management of many things have been a disgrace quite honestly. Every appointment was followed up by another 3 month appointment constant delays. I think after waiting nearly 2 years on their waiting list I thought enough was enough and decided to go abroad for treatment in turkey. I think now that they do not prescribe any steroids as part of ivf treatment would be a major put off for anyone cycling with the NHS. Steroids are very important for anyone going through FET treatments.

I had a call from Homerton 2 or 3 days ago saying they are starting back up again and inviting people to call from May! Not really sure how they have managed to sort it all out so quickly!!

Hey I’m with Homerton too. Did you receive the letter They said they would be sending to all affected patients? I think even if they resumed services again I’d still liked to be transferred elsewhere. My past year with them has been a nightmare and doesn’t put your mind at ease always chasing them for answers and assistance. Their service has been shocking so I’d be surprised if they would bounce back so quickly from this. I’ve read a recent article in the Hackney Gazette this week regarding their delays to all fertility patients it’s all really embarrassing at this point. Wishing you the best as well as everyone else xx

Yes I got the letter about 2 or 3 weeks ago. It has been a bit of a shambles. Wishing you all the best xx
