Worrying about big follicles!

Are eggs from 22mm follicles (at trigger) post mature?

Has anyone triggered at 22mm and did they fertilise? Xx

22mm is fine, generally they worry about those over 25mm ovulating and ruining the cycle, you will be grand. I don't think you can have 'post mature' you either ovulate or they are ok. Good luck x

I had a couple of whoppers on each of my two rounds (24-26mm at trigger I think) - was told they could be cysts and/or not have viable eggs and each time we got eggs from them and on the second round all those collected fertilized and got to 5d blast so they were definitely ok on that round. Just on that basis, 22mm sounds fine.

Up to 30mm can be ok. I think generally under 25mm is better but it is possible to get a viable egg from a bigger follicle according to my clinic. We sacrificed my biggest ones this cycle to get some of the smaller ones but I actually don’t know whether they got eggs from them in the end or not I think they did because I got 10 eggs from 10 follicles but not all were mature x

Thanks for responding. I’ve honestly been stressed to bits worrying so I do appreciate it. My consultant has decided to push my follicles ( to let smaller ones catch up) so expects the majority to be between 20-22mm tomorrow. Great result getting ten eggs x

My clinic intentionally like to push my follicles to approximately 22mm before trigger x
