Hi all

Following our latest fresh IVF cycle we retrieved 5 eggs, of which only 2 fertilised via ICSI. I was disheartened by that, but we were very lucky that both made it to blastocyst stage.

Our last IVF cycle resulted in the devastation of TFMR at 15 weeks, because our baby had serious chromosomal problems. Needing to do everything we could to avoid that trauma again, we decided to PGT-A test our embryos even with low numbers.

The results came back in today. We have one normal embryo which we are really pleased about. The other was a complex abnormal. Obviously it would have been great to have both normal and would have been over the moon with that, but to have one normal is fantastic in our position.

Took us 10 rounds to get one normal ..first 5 only one egg each round, last 5 with different Doctor 2-4 eggs each round. The one normal is the only one we ever transferred over Teo tests and 10 rounds ..she is 4 months old lying here. Pgt so important.

Really appreciate everyone's comments. Nobody in my network of friends and family would understand why this is a big deal and why its exciting, and having to explain it all would be extremely tiring! So it's really nice to come on here and be amongst people that just understand and can say the right things xx
