7th ICSI failed 😞

Hi all lovely ladies,

Hope all are well.

This round I got 1 embryo with normal chromosome. 7 days after FET, beta was low only 10, next 2 days was up to 15. However on day 12 it was 2.

A little bit of my background: round 1 with 3 transfer, all ended up BFN. Round 2, 1 FET with chemical pregnancy. Round 3 with 2 FET ended up with BFN. Round 4,5 & 6, all embryos were abnormal. Severe male factors with low quality eggs (both 43). Each round got 1 blastocyst.

Not sure how much more attempts?

All the best too all fighters!!!

So sorry to see this 😔 BFNs are so tough. Sending you lots of hugs and hopefully your clinic can come up with a new plan 💐 x

Thanks so much for your kind words. Doctor said I have received the best treatment due to my health condition as I also have autoimmune disorder. I have been prescribed with both Clexane and tablets daily so nothing further could do. Improvement on egg and sperm quality would help tremendously but easier said than done. I wish you succeed on your journey.

Oh, that's such a rough situation to be in having to decide such a thing 😥 Whatever you'd eventually decide, you know that you did what you could to have your so longed for baby. You didn't just give up! Seven rounds, that's hard for both the wallet and for the physical y psychological health. No-one would ever blame you if you say enough is enough after seven rounds! But if you chose to go on trying, maybe you'd better decide before continuing how many more rounds you want to expose yourself to to kind of tell God or the fate or whatever you put your trust in, that if he/she/they/it (whichever pronoun you prefer) wants you to have a baby, that he/she/they/it ought to hurry up, because you're running out of tries... I myself, before having my 6th ET after five failures (but only two ECs), was really in doubts whether to go on for a third round if that ET would fail me. Luckily it didn't, so I got my son, and having been so lucky I could never ever tell you to stop purchasing your goal, but even if I got my baby finally, I can still relate to your dilemma. To me it was a really huge help to do a lot of travelling and projects I wouldn't easily do with a baby/child in between the trials, as to remind me of that one actually loses something too having a baby, something that can also be valuable and worth living for. There's so much more into life than just reproducing! And also the stress of not being able to make any plans in case of a pregnancy... I won't miss it 🤪 Good luck with your decision ❤ And know we'll support you whichever conclusion you end up with ❤

First of all, huge congratulations to you🎉 Thanks for your encouragement! For me I guess I am a very stubborn patient as I have already scheduled for the next round. Strange but true I had never cried every time I failed, just thought that I still have a good number of eggs although it’s of low quality😅 Actually I plan to do another 3 more rounds and I will stop but I think when the time comes, I won’t stop anyway😂😂😂 one of the patients of my doctor underwent over 25 rounds and got her baby at 47.

I wish you all the best on your journey!

I’m 42 and gave birth to my girl 2 weeks ago after a couple attempts at ICSI. I had no idea I had an autoimmune disease until my fertility clinic sent me to an immunologist. I was then put on a weekly drip for three months of a cocktail of vitamins and I have no idea what else. I was just numb and at this point I didn’t care what was going into me. It’s hard. Emotionally draining. I love love love what @sun-and-rain has to say to you…. These are such wise words and so true. Trust in the universe or whatever you believe in. There is a plan for us that we don’t know about…. Focus on you. It’s easier said than done I know. We are all rooting for you in whatever secession you take. X

First of all, huge congratulations to you on the arrival of your beautiful girl 👧 and many thanks for your encouragement.Yes as she said I believe there will be a right time that I can hold my own baby just don’t know when (hopefully before reaching 45 cause I’m thinking of stop trying at that age). Wishing you and baby girl happy, healthy.

I am so sorry, you've been through so much! I agree with Prayingsohard - my miscarriages and failed attempts have been put down to immune issues after 4 failed transfers. I would never have known either unless I had seen a specialist! Good luck with whatever you decide xx

Sorry for your loss as well. It’s been a very tough journey. I have had autoimmune treated for several years. Doctor said main problem should come from egg quality and male factor which we couldn’t do anything much…. I’m also rooting for you.
