I'm new to the forum, I'm 41 yrs young, hubby and I were TTC for 1yr after we got married. Got fertility tests completed and diagnosed with 'UNEXPLAINED' infertility. Both of us absolutely fine.
Been on the IVF journey for 18 months.
1 x fresh mild IVF cycle complete, 3 embryos to 5 day Blastocyst stage which we were over the moon with, BFP from fresh cycle but ended in MC at 9 weeks. Embryo didn't develop and left with an empty sack. But took away positives of implantation successful so thought the next FET would be another BFP but was a BFN. Hopes continued with our 3rd and final Embryo in the bank, did everything by the book but yesterday we got another BFN. I'm so disappointed and really struggling to know where to go from here. Do we keep going? Would further tests be worth it? How are we going to keep on financing this? No money tree in my garden unfortunately. Feel like I'm running out of time with being older so would it be wise to take a break and hope the magic wand works naturally?
Please help, would love to hear some advice from others with similar stories

I’m so sorry to hear this. That was great to get 3 blasts, I’m sorry that none worked but it was promising like you say to have implantation. My advice due to age would be to go again and maybe look at a package of 3 banking rounds, you can do them interest free with some clinics. My clinic offered that as a way of payment. Get as many embryos as you can before starting transfers.
You could try both taking supplements like ubiquinol and good quality multivitamins, and I believe that inositol is good for egg quality too by steadying/controlling blood sugar. Xx
Thank you so much for your reply. I have been seeing the 3 banking rounds being mentioned more and more and might see if my clinic would do this. I've gone with a clinic which concentrate on Mild and Natural IVF so I'm also thinking should I maybe change clinics and try more stimms cycles.
I'm definitely going to try the supplements you have suggested, I'm already taking vit d, vit c & zinc, fish oils, vit E and folic acid. I'm going to be rattling :-).
Struggling to get back on the positive train but hopefully this will happen in time and waiting for my clinic review to give me more news.
It’s probably the same clinic that I did mine at - they did finance options which was helpful (create fertility).
Sounds really good with the supplements you’re on, plus the extras maybe. I’m not sure about dhea as you got 3 good blasts which is great, but depends what your clinic thinks - if your dhea and testosterone are low it can be helpful but have to speak to them xx
I’m really sorry to hear about your losses. I’m only just starting my journey and I’m in a same sex marriage, so I can’t speak from experience, especially not with the ‘magic wand’ technique! But personally, if I could raise the funds and manage the emotional load, I’d keep trying with a little help from science. It sounds really promising that you had 3 embryos in your first cycle. x
