Any tips for a medical frozen round of IVF pls?
Hi, I start my next fet on the 14th of February. So we must be around the same time. I’ve had a number of transfers over the years and honestly I have always found that going with the flow is best. I do a lot of walking throughout and drink a lot of water. Set an alarm on your phone for medications and have a sheet marking them off as you take them. Keep yourself busy with work or reading books, Netflix. And most importantly stay off google or you will drive yourself insane. Good luck xxx
I had two back to back rounds and fresh transfers and I found the FET so much gentler - much quicker and more controlled, plus hormones that you may already have been on before or know roughly how you'll react. I had pretty horrible side effects from the oestrogen (nausea, headaches etc) which is apparently quite common so maybe be ready for this but then I am very sensitive to oestrogen so it wasn't pleasant but nothing to worry about. They also seemed to be able to adjust the meds and change the timeline more to get an optimal window for transfer. I don't really have any tips as I didn't change anything for my FET diet- or exercise-wise, and I was mega stressed and busy at work so maybe relax and do nice things if you can, but don't worry if you can't as it doesn't seem to make any difference and the meds and your body do it all for you. I did change some supplements, so ubiquinol, a lot of 'bioavailable' vits like b, c & d, omegas, folate instead of just folic acid and added aspirin (check with your clinic but my consultant said one aspirin a day wouldn't hurt, he just didn't believe it would do anything). No idea if any of those helped but they didn't hurt. Most important for me I think was form of progesterone and getting it monitored on transfer and after, but that's because that seemed to be the nub of our problem generally and it may not be an issue for you. Best of luck 🍀
I agree with the other posts and just wanted to add that as your embryos are already made (the hard part!) the best thing to do is relax as much as you can. frozen transfers are a little easier in that respect so no need to worry about vitamins (other than say pregnacare) for egg quality etc 🤗 and also it was a frozen transfer that worked for me so I’m a big fan lol wishing you lots of luck xxx
