We had collection number 2 of 3 today and got 6 eggs (very pleased with very low amh!), I can’t believe that we got more eggs on this protocol than we did on maximum dose stims. A long way to go but I’m starting to feel hopeful that this approach may be what we needed. 🤞🏼
**update 6 of 6 have fertilised which we are very pleased about.

Natural ivf is where they monitor your natural cycle and select the one egg you are going to ovulate naturally. Natural modified ivf that I’m doing is similar but with low dose stims to try for a couple of eggs or slightly more (as opposed to normal ivf where people want 10-20 eggs). From what I understand IVM is in-vitro maturation which is good for people who are very high risk of OHSS from even low stims so they take out immature eggs and culture/mature them in the lab. I (think) that’s correct XX
Thank you, I’m hoping someone’s doing what I plan on doing (IVM) so I can get an idea of what to expect. I’m an amateur so any new things I hear about I’m intrigued by. I heard that on lower stims the egg quality is higher so all the very best to you. With IVM I should expect the same, although my stims will be applied to my eggs directly in the lab rather than having the injections - I think? I will get a consultation soon so they can tell me xx
I was tested before my recent laparoscopy and I was 5.3 but had huge 13cm endometrioma sat squashing ovaries so I’m hoping it has risen. Due to be tested end of March and ttc in the meantime. I have endometriosis but other than than, womb and tubes fine. My gyny said for ivf referral it has to reach 5.4! Typical! Hubby still yet to be tested. He is 44.
I’m sure it will have increased! But being on the low side, natural modified ivf will definitely be a good option I think. I’ll message you. If you manage to get your nhs funding I think you can still transfer it to a clinic of your choice xx
Amazing results!!!I am very low amh too and my best results were with mini ivf protocol ( that's clomiphene during the whole stim and injection (150 menopur) only on days 6,8,10 and 12. I got 4 eggs and they all produced good quality embryos.
Did u use clomid as well or just 150 gonal everyday from day 1?
My first round we did a tamoxifen tablet daily from day 3 for 5 days, and introduced a 150iu bemfola injection on my on day 4 and 6. We got 3 eggs and one good quality embryo which is frozen. Second round we did tamoxifen daily from day 2 and bemfola daily from day 3 for 7 days. Fingers crossed for the 6 eggs this time! Congratulations on getting 4 great is embryos, have you transferred it?x
I think tamoxifen is not used in my country (I'm Spanish) although I guess it must be similar to letrozole...Anyway six eggs are great results for us (low responders). Fingers crossed for the calls from the lab. Hope you get your babies from there!!
I transferred 2 of the 4 embies and it was a chemical pregnancy. So now I am banking eggs (I do stimms every month and I freeze the eggs) until I get a decent number or until I get too exhausted (whichever happens first). I will Fertilise afterwards and hope to have a healthy embbie among all of them!
Well done you this is amazing! I am not sure anywhere in Scotland Offers this natural approach but will need to investigate. How did you get on with the SA did you go with icsi this time? Xx
They decided not to do icsi, which I suppose is good as it saved us money and if they really thought we needed it I Think they would have charged us for it since we are private. Xx
