Hi Liediana8, I'm not sure what grade 1 or 3 refer to as my grading was different. But I had two PGS normal Day 6 - 6BB embryos transferred of quite a similar grading but don't think grading causes interference with each embryos chance of implantation. I've also had two non-PGS Day 5 - 6B-B- and 1B+B- embryo's transferred at the same time and was told there is no issue with them being different grades. And if your doctor says it's ok, I wouldn't worry yourself too much. Good luck and fingers crossed xx
Hi Liediana. Try not to worry too much about the differences. Your specialist will give you his/her best advice, and wants it to work for you too. Hope all ends well. Diane
I also thought that research has shown lower grade embryos can prevent higher grade embryos from being successful if transferred together. However, embryo grades only go on if they have developed (grown enough cells which your grade 3 must have done if they want to use it) and appearance. There is only so much appearance can tell. Perhaps because they are PGS tested, they are more confident about the likelihood of success? I would ask your consultant for more information.
Hello. I asked my consultant this and his view was that the lower grade embryo can interfere with the good embryo so advised against it. We’ve opted for pgt testing instead and out of three, one has come back normal. Incidentally it is the highest graded one so would have been the one we transferred next anyway. We are going to combine with a biopsy so the best implantation period can be worked out. According to my consultant this way of doing it gives you the highest chance of becoming pregnant albeit it’s not a guarantee . We just are fed up with it all now so just want to give one last shot x
