Hi ladies… I was with Barts and had my first treatment there. However, I’ve now left London but still wanting to use Barts as I have embies there. I will be a private patient but just wondered the logistics of everything. For example , my blood test etc, would I have them in London or where I move. Just a bit confused. Thank you

Hi there, you know you don’t t have to stay with a clinic just because you have left over embryos there. You can arrange to have them moved. There are specialist courier companies any new clinic can recommend to you. There will be moving costs obviously. I had my DH’s frozen sperm transferred from one clinic to another using one of these companies.

If you want to stay with that particular clinic for other reasons then you may want to ask the clinic directly how the logistics would work and what they recommend.

Hey, I’m also with Barts. Had IVF baby 2019 and now we are on 3td round of FET.

If you are doing FET I just remember one blood test for you and your partner for STI’s, and initial scan to check all okay with your womb etc. Before they get going. We did partial funding so this was all free.

Then you just email when you start your period and they ask you to come in for scans to check the linings after day 10. Maybe 3 scans!? It’s not too many appts compared to full IVF, but they are quite busy so hard to move the time of the scans around work/life unless you beg like me. Also OH has to come with you to one appt each round to give personal consent/witness signing the forms. If the journey is too much yea you can move the Frosties nearer to you. Good luck x
