Having had one failed cycle at homerton we are thinking about transferring to Guys or Barts as their waiting lists are significantly shorter. I'd be interested to hear in experiences at either clinic from those who've had treatment there. Please could anyone with any insight please pm me? Thanks v much xxx

Guys or Barts?
Hi. I have just been referred to Barts for IVF. I can't give you any information on them at the moment, but can I be cheeky and jump in on your post to see what others experiences are. Thanks.
Of course! I'd be interested to hear how you get on at Barts. Do you know how long it will be for an appointment post referral?
We went today to the gynae at Whipps to fill in the referral forms. He said we should get an appointment at Barts within 6-8 weeks...so fingerscrossed. That's with the NHS. Are you NHS or Private? I'm guessing private would be even shorter!
Im currently with barts and to be fair they have been amazing. The nurses are really nice and the main doctor dr sabatini is really great, a bit abrupt(hes italian) but he tells you exactly what u need to do for best chances of having a baby. The only downside i can think of is the waiting when you have an appointment. Good luck on your journey.... also because the hospital i quite central i thought theyd have the best staff.
Thanks destiny. That's good to know - glad you're being looked after. What was the wait like to get started with your cycle after your initial appointment? X
Can I ask how comes you're entitled to another cycle? We got told we'll only be allowed one cycle on the NHS. Destiny- once you got started did you have to go back quite a lot for routine checks? X
Once we started the injections etc, I had to go every three days for a scan up until egg collection. The appointments were done quite quickly and your literally in and out. I work quite close to the central line so it wasn't a major issue having to fit them in. Also, regarding your amount of trys' it will depend on when you were referred as the rules are changing. I get 3 goes, however if referred past a certain date you'll only get the one.
Ohh gosh its been such a long process from initial appointments etc. But I would say a wait of around 12 weeks. I had to work on my BMI, so the day I called them to tell them literally my bmi was under I was contacted within 12 weeks with my information session details and then started straight away.
