Confused with the clinic and transfer timing?!?!?!?

Hey ladies I know you can help get my mind clear!

I phoned the clinic yesterday with a positive opk. She said that means day1 was yesterday and transfer would be 6days so that would make it Wednesday.

I’ve just been phoned today and they have said it’s going to be Thursday……

So are they going off my positive opk as day1 or is day1 on predicted ovulation (prob today). Hope you understand. She said “that’s our protocol and the embryologist will phone Thursday morning with a time & embryo news” couldn’t get off the phone quick enough.

I am having so much trouble with my clinic this time. I had to promt/ask her to tell me what to do or not do for transfer eg perfumes and what not.

Honestly they are stressing me out more than the process!

For my clinic the general rule of thumb was

Positive OPK in the morning then the following day was classed as ovulation day and transfer would be 5 days later (or 6 days after the OPK)

Positive OPK in the afternoon then not the following day but day after that classed as ovulation dah with transfer 5 days later (so 7 days after the OPK)

Hi Fudge. "Ivfgotadream" has explained it perfectly, so hopefully your mind is at rest now. With regards to perfumes, best to keep away from strong smells, sperm and embryos don't like them/ Hope all goes well. Diane
