Testing after Day 3 Transfer

I had my day 3 embryo transfer today How many days after a Day 3 transfer have you been told to do the pregnancy test? Previously with a Day 5 transfer I was told 13 days and then with a Day 2 transfer I was told 12 days. This time, however, with my Day 3 transfer I was told 14 days by the nurse at my consultant's practice (which is what I am meant to go by) and 13 days by the Dr who performed the transfer at the clinic today (who I just asked in passing). It's my second wedding anniversary on Day 13 and after our first being very low key last year (ie usual Saturday night take away via Deliveroo) as I was shielding due to a medical condition, I was hoping to have tested by then and know one way or another and have a proper celebration this year. If it was a BFN then I could at least have much vino in celebration of the wedding anniversary (and commiserations of the BFN). If it is a BFP then it would be an even happier day for us. Either way we would feel like life was left less in limbo. What have you been told and what would you do in my position?

Hi Koala. It seems people are told all sorts of different dates by their clinics do if it was me, I’d test in the morning in my anniversary or possibly the day before, for the reasons you’ve said. Good luck x

I agree with previous post test on the day before your anniversary for all the reasons you mentionGood luck

Hi Koala, I was told 14 days for my day 3 transfer. Testing a day earlier would not have made a difference as I got a strong positive on OTD. So I would do what works for you.
