Hi! At my clinic before EC I took an Ibuprofen and a Paracetamol 1 hour before collection and had breakfast. If you clinic is close try not to pee before you leave because you'll pee again at the clinic, you need to have you bladder empty. After the EC try to relax as much as possible and pay attention at your bleeding, it should decrease by every hour. You'll get bloated and constipated and pay attention at your symptoms...a small percentage of women have OHSS - ovarian hyperstimulation syndrom. But a day or two you should consider on staying home if you work and try not to lift heavy stuff. I don't know if they're other tips. I had only one egg collection. Hope yours goes smooth and with no pain!!! I'm praying for you to have many eggs to become healthy embryos🙏🏼🙏🏼🥰🥰🥰

Thank u so much dear for your reply❤️But my clinic told to take dressing gown with me? Is that really important? Can I wear skirt at the time of EC?

in reply toSahithya

It's better if you bring a gown because you can ruin your skirt, blood can go on it. I had complication during the EC. Bleeding wouldn't stop and I could feel the doctor when he wiped the blood from my butt...sorry for the sensitive story....

Thank u for ur suggestion dear and I’m sorry for your blood loss😕

You're welcome! It wasn't that bad, the sad part was that from 6 eggs none made it to day 5😔I'm praying for you and fingers crossed they find many healthy eggs🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🥰🥰🥰

Best of luck Sahithya with your upcoming egg collection. With mine it was no eating or drinking before the procedure because of the the sedation - so double check that and be sure! I took in a nice cosy dressing gown and slippers to keep warm whilst waiting. Also took my headphones and listened to some of my guided meditations whilst I was waiting for my turn. After the procedure I made sure I had snacks (banana/biscuits etc) and lots of water whilst I came around - as I had to pass urine before being allowed to leave. Then husband drove me home and popped me into bed. Just take it easy following sedation and drink plenty of water. Best of luck! Xx

Thank you dear❤️Can I wear skirt at the Time of EC

in reply toSahithya

I had to wear a hospital gown and nothing underneath. Make sure you have something loose or comfy to wear afterwards - baggy T-shirt/leggings or loose trousers kind of thing x

Thank u dear❤️Sure I will do that

You will wear a hospital gown for you EC which is why they tell you to take a dressing gown. You won't be able to wear your own clothes. Good luck x
