Hi Tilly. Yes me and my husband had it. It is labelled as Amber by the HFEA I believe as there isn’t yet enough research to prove it helps. But with severe male factor we decided to throw everything at it. We asked for it - I didn’t feel pressured by the clinic. We got 14 eggs, 12 mature, 8 fertilised, 1 day 5 4AB blastocyst and 2 morulas not good enough to freeze. We had a big fall off, which I expected with my husband’s numbers, but our blastocyst stuck and I’m 17 weeks pregnant. I can’t tell what helped but we got one good sperm! x

It works for us too! My husband has high DFI above 40%. We did both ICSI and IMSI, which IMSI doubled the blastocysts numbers we could obtain than ICSI. The recent cycle we even asked for PIMSI which gave us 3 PGS tested embryos and the first one worked and I am 13+ weeks pregnant now. Really worth to try if the male factor is the main infertility issue but firstly please eliminate other female factors. While we were using IMSI, I didn’t know I have high NK cells which can cause early miscarriage/chemical pregnancy, wasted a couple of good quality embryos. This successful cycle we used PIMSI PGS and immunology treatment together!

Hi, thank you for your reply, where did you go for treatment and how did you find out you had natural killer cells? And congratulations 🎉 xx

I am with a clinic in London. We can not mention the clinic here, I can PM you if you need. Because I had recurrent miscarriages so I was under detailed investigation at my clinic, I did the tests of ERA EMMA Alice and NK cells biopsy and blood which found out I have high NK cells then I went to miscarriage center for the detailed check of immunology and treatments.

Congratulations on your pregnancy. Im also considering PIMSI. Was initially considering going abroad but with covid I’d now prefer to stay home. Could you pm details of your clinic please?
