Hiya im just wordering is anyone going for icsi me and my partner has to go for it has he has zero sperm count or has anyone been thorw it and what was the out come. Hope to hear some storys igs so stressful

Hi lisa, have they established why your partner has zero sperm count?

My DH was diagnosed as not having vas deferens (CBAVD) so produces sperm but they have no way of being transported to where they need to be.

In our case they performed an operation so we now have plenty frozen for our ICSI.

On our second cycle with ET looking like tomorrow so I'll let you know how it goes xx

No they dont no why they said it could off run in is family they have no idea y he has zero sperm count he goes for is op on the 3rd March its so scary just hoping they find sonething when he goes for is op. im on the injections . Now go for my first scan on thursday yes please do an hope it all goes well best off luck xx

I remember the worry when my DH went in for his op, they wouldn't do it unless everything else checked out ok and were pretty sure they would get sperm.

The good thing about male factor infertility (i always try to see the positive, need to be optimistic on this journey) is that once they have the sperm you have a really good chance of it being successful 😃

Are they synchronising his op with your egg collection to use fresh?xx

Thank u i feel a bit better now im going tho ivf so they wi have to take my eggs he goes in on the Thursday an if they find anything i go in on tbe friday to collect my eggs xx

I'm looking at my 3 week old twin girls who were born after our first round of ICSI IVF. You're right it is a very very stressful process so be kind to yourself and make sure you and your partner are talking to each other lots- communication can often break down in these situations. Good luck with your cycle xxx

Yes we are currently in a similar situation although we are booked on the 3rd March for PESA sperm retrieval but they haven't started me on anything yet as it all depends on whether they manage to find any sperm. As my husband had a vasectomy 19 years ago they want to see if they find sperm before I embark on anything!

I know how you are feeling it is so scary and we keep hoping that they do manage to find sperm but scared to feel hopeful (if that makes sense!)

First scan went great so start my other injection on saturday then back to the clinic for another scan on thursday then start are icsi/ivf on the 3rd & 4th march if they get any sperm cant believe it here has we have been waiting for a year and a half. Good luck everyone. Xx
