I posted a while back about my long awaited BFP after my 5th transfer. Unfortunately it wasn’t meant to be as at my scans it was confirmed as an empty sac. I was advised to follow the medical management route rather than surgery and after feeling as though everything had passed it was confirmed that the sac was still there and was still growing. Does anyone know after the 2nd dose how long it normally takes for everything to come away as it’s heart breaking and I just want it all over and done with now 😭 x

I am sorry for your loss. Did you clinic/EPU not tell you how long to test for? It is a while since my last MC but I am pretty sure I was told to test after 3 weeks and if it was still positive to then go back to EPU.
I have been in the position where I had surgery for one of my MC and it failed and I had to go back and have further surgery. I was 9+5 when I miscarried so my HCG was high. I was still testing a very strong positive after 3 weeks and after various scans and an HCG blood test they finally confirmed there was retained tissue.
How strong are your tests? Are they getting lighter? if you have any concerns and you were told to test after 2 weeks I would go back to EPU.
Thank you so much for your reply. I have rung them and as I am still passing a lot of blood we need to wait until that stops but I suppose it’s maybe just taking it’s time. I just hoped it would be over quicker than this x
I hear you, and I am so sorry you are going through it. I ended up bleeding for 8 weeks (due to other issues post surgery) and I have never wished for one line on a pregnancy test more. Good luck xx
I have no advice I’m afraid but just wanted to say I’m so sorry you are in this horrible limbo position, it really is so upsetting. Sending big hugs and hoping that you can get some closure on the physical side of things very soon xxx
