Slow follicle growth

I'm on my second cycle of ivf, am on day 8 and all my follicles are around 12mm, which is not that much bigger than day 6. Has anyone had any positive stories of slow growing follicles turning out ok, am very worried they're just going to stop.

Hi cloud_user. At day 8 I had an 18.5, 2 over 6mm and 2 under 6mm. Day 11 and they had grown to a 24.5, an 18.5 a 12 and two at 10. They made me wait another 2 days in the hope the smaller ones would catch up. They got 3 eggs, two fertilised and I’m on my 2ww. Brilliant for us as I’m 44 and this is the best we’ve done after 3 cycles. I felt exactly like you did at my day 8 scan but they grow rapidly within just a couple of days. Try to relax, drink lots of water and good luck xxxx😘

Yep, both rounds mine took forever to respond - to the point on the second round they suggested cancelling. I stimmed for 17 days each time and it wasn't until the final week that most of them even made an appearance let alone got a wriggle on and grew. I got 9 eggs first time and 5 the second (I didn't cancel that second one). Am currently 7 weeks pregnant. I'm a weird responder apparently but check what your clinic thinks in case you need to up your meds, and don't lose hope 🍀
