So yesterday I transferred 2 frozen embabys, my past 5 transfers I have managed to get to day 6 and test positive then start to bleed and ends in a bfn…. I have explained this to my clinic over and over and nothing has been done so yesterday I kicked up a fuss and in the end the doctor agreed I should be on extra progesterone so the have gave me lubion…. Now I’m reading on here I should of been on this atlease 5 days before my transfer… has anyone experienced something like this? What’s everyone’s thoughts xx

Hey lovely,

Just to put your mind at ease hopefully, I had lubion added in after testing low on the day of my transfer. I couldn’t get back to the clinic until the next day so didn’t start it until 1 day after my transfer. That transfer resulted in my daughter who’s 11 months old.

Please don’t worry, the most important thing is you’ve got the extra dose now. Wishing you lots of luck for your tww 😘 xx

Aw thank you that helps a lot! I feel like my clinic just follow there protocols regardless of individuality… I feel much better now I have them. Xxx

Sadly I think that’s so common! My previous clinic refused to test my progesterone or do anything about it. The lubion shots got me my take home baby, really hope they do the same for you xxx

I have everything crossed!! I have only had 2 shots with the lubion but I can’t half feel where I have injected, did you feel the same? (Not that I’m complaining) xx

Yep! Feels a bit bruised. Some days I feel it more than others (I’m on lubion again now as we’ve done another FET!) Gives me terrible breakouts as well 🥴

But totally worth it xx

Stick to normal life! Try to keep busy (I know it’s impossible) and eat whatever you want because you’ve bloody earned it xxx

You have to be on progesterone five days before transfer but you can add or reduce progesterone throughout according to your progesterone levels.Good luck!

Oh, and arnica cream helps with the bruising from the injections.

I never had my progesterone level tested, so it’s hard to know, but after a heavy bleed at 5 and a half weeks pregnant I was put on lubion until I was 12 weeks and 4 x cyclogest a day. I’m now 16 and a half weeks. Hopefully this will give you a bit of reassurance that you don’t need to be on lubion before the transfer. Best of luck with everything xx

I only did 1 injection of lubion 2 days before my transfer so I wouldn't worry And then now every 3 days until 12 weeks I had a missed miscarriage at 11 week baby stopped growing at 8ish weeks so reading these comments is making me feel a bit better that the extra progesterone helps people get their babies 🤞🏼🥰 (I'm now 5 weeks btw on second go) xx

I’m on lubion this time too. Warm it up under your armpit for at least 5 mins before injecting and it will hurt a lot less

Both my fresh transfers ended with chemicals but I got my progesterone tested from early positives when I was on cyclogest and it was >190 each time. So my clinic didn't think it was a progesterone issue. However, I had endometriosis when I was younger and was on the combined pill forever, and read either/both can cause oestrogen dominance and progesterone resistance. This can mean that your blood is flooded with progesterone but it's not getting where it should. After some research it seems using the progesterone suppositories vaginally and adding lubion are possible ways to address this. I got a positive at 3dp5dFET so something worked!

I wouldn't worry too much about the late start though as I got my levels checked on the day of transfer and even with all that for 5 days before the levels were low (always been super high). So the clinic added another lubion around 4dpt. The levels increased a little but haven't been anything like as high as the previous two so they also said I could chuck in cyclogest (but I think that was just to make me go away :) )

So this is a way of saying that the levels can be relatively low and also they can up them late, and everything still be ok.

Re what I did after transfer: I was on emails and calls working right up until my FET then again immediately after. Then had family over and was rushing around cooking for them, cleaning and organising stuff. The previous two, I took two weeks off for one and the other just the afternoon and it didn't change the outcome x
