Fet in a few weeks

Hiya, any advice for my fet in a few weeks. Anything I should do to get the wee bugger to stick? I’m gonna ask them to check progesterone. I’m just looking for things I can do so that I can say I tried the best I could. Even a wee transfer dance 😂 xxx

Hi! I've had 3 transfers and 2 were successful (1st and 3rd), here are the things that I did for the successful ones that I didn't do for the unsuccessful one (as you can imagine, because the second transfer didn't work, I went back to my old protocol for the first):

1. TCM (traditional Chinese Medicine), I know it's not everyone's cup of tea (in fact the medication I had to drink was really bitter), ha.

2. Lots of walking but no heavy lifting (or basically picking up my toddler, ~20 lbs) or real exercise (running, squats, etc.) for the first few weeks.

3. Medicated cycle (1st and 3rd) instead of natural cycle (2nd). I dunno why I put this 3rd, some may say that this is the main difference maker.

One thing that I heard that I totally agree with (though it's very likely an old wives tale) is to keep your feet warm (i.e. wear socks around the house).

Best of luck and I'm rooting for you!!

Hi hun. Im starting a FET cycle in 3 weeks. Wanted to ask you about point n.2. Did you stop heavy exercising and started walking before your FET or only during the 2WW?

Good luck! I used to exercise a lot (running 3x a week and weight lift 3x a week), and did so up until the transfer. Then on transfer day I stopped and just walked like 2-3k steps (supposedly walking helps with increasing blood flow) and then did like 3-7k steps going forward. I didn’t pick up my daughter during the tww (instead I kneeled down to give her hugs), though I think this may be a step too far. My clinic did recommend that I stop all heavy exercise (including aerobics) and sex, but my obgyn thought that both would have been fine. Best of luck to you in 3 weeks! Xoxo

I’ve had three transfers, first successful ended in early moscarriage, second failed and third successful and I’ll be 5 weeks tomorrow. This time I had an endometrial scratch, I’m using additional progesterone support in a natural cycle, asprin and fragmin (due to having had 2 miscarriages) and we have two embryos put in. Just waiting for our scan to check everything’s ok and confirm how many have stuck! I’ve drank so much water this time round and begun exercising again prior to transfer. Since transfer I’ve just been walking back! Good luck x
