My regular doctor got back from vacation and saw us for a scan. Diagnosed miscarriage. Should be over 7 weeks but was measuring more like under 5, no heartbeat. Had stopped developing. HCG levels going down. Have been told to stop the drugs and to expect a bleed.
How long does it usually take for the bleeding to start?

I’m so sorry to hear this. I had a missed miscarriage diagnosed earlier this year. I stopped my meds and had the miscarriage about 12 days later. I started getting pains and mild bleeding after about 7 days. But then strong pains and bleeding on 1 day where I miscarried. X
I’m so sorry for your loss and your struggles to get this far. I’m in the same boat. I am/was 9 weeks pregnant last Thursday. 7 and 8 (and9!) WK scans all confirmed no heartbeat. In fact the sac is now empty but still hasn’t passed. I stopped taking progesterone after the 8 WK scan evening. I started to bleed 3 days later. It’s been steady for 5 days but I’m dreading the actual passing and am thinking to get the pills tomorrow. I’m absolutely bricking it happening. This is so shit. I hope you are being kind to yourself xxxx
I'm so sorry hon.I guess it's one of those things that's different for everyone, but when I was in this situation it was about 5 days after stopping progesterone that bleeding started and the worst of it was on the second day. After that it was more or less like a period bleed for almost 2 weeks.
Sending you the biggest hugs, take good care of yourself xxx
I'm so sorry to hear this LuxFleur. I have been in a very similar position. My miscarriage started around a week later. It lasted around 3 days with pain like a heavy period on day one. Sending you lots of good wishes. Be gentle with yourself xxxx
So sorry to hear this. It took 3 weeks for me (mmc) it was a natural pregnancy and I wasn’t on medication. My hcg was very high and my body thought I was still pregnant. For many people it’s much quicker! Thinking of you at this difficult time ❤️
So sorry, I have just been through this. I stopped meds but 3 weeks later still hadn’t had a bleed and so went with medication. Look after yourself! X
So sorry to hear this sad news. I had a missed miscarriage last summer, stopped meds but my body wouldn’t let it go. After 3 weeks I went to hospital for medical management to pass the baby. Thinking of you during this distressing time xx
Im so sorry you are going through this. I am just going through miscarriage now in 8th week they told me to wait further 2 weeks for sack to get bigger. I already stopped at that stage meds. Was hoping that within 2 weeks will loose it naturally but I didn't week 10, another scan and they finally confirmed its over for 100% and only then got meds to help me misscariage. I have chosen option at home and happened last Wednesday and I am still bleeding. At home success rate is 90% if not cleared properly will need to have procedure anyway. Take time to think which option is better for you : home or procedure at hospital. I am not sure if my decision was right...i was in so much pain and got haemorrhage. Im lucky it calmed down and didn't have to go to A&E. But every woman is different and have different experience. I wish you all the best. Stay strong 💪 🧡
I am so sorry for your loss. I went through same, baby stopped developing but there was a slow heartbeat. The clinic stopped my medicines and EPU gave me one week to let it go naturally otherwise they shared options to go with.
I started bleeding with in one week, and spotting now after 4 weeks. Two days back went to EPU for scan and they said its because a small piece is still left inside and they cant do surgery, it will go with the periods. After IVF, periods are already not on track. So no clue but confused that is going natural the best way or surgery is the best way. It saves your time and then uterus is cleaned.
On the same, its really hard to see baby clots in your toilet
So sorry to hear this. As awful as it is, at least you can get some closure now and find a way to move on. The limbo situation must have been horrendous. Sending you a massive hug xx
I’m so sorry for you. I’m currently going through similar. I opted to pass it naturally at home. I started to bleed 13 days after stopping meds.
Went back to have a scan 10 days after my initially bleed, unfortunately they is still something left . I’m going back again on the 30th Aug , if it still hasn’t passed I will have to have to have the operation 🙄
I hope this isn’t the same for you and it’s as quick and painless as possible .
