First round of ivf and i had my collection day yesterday, they’ve retrieved 4 eggs and today they called me to say only one fertilised but there may still be a chance for the other ones to fertilise so they will call me again tomo
I don t know exactly how it works but is there any chance that one of the other ones might fertilise slower ? Any of you had a similar experience?
I know one is better than nothing but it s so disappointing considering i am 40 and i ve put so much hope in this

Eurgh IVF is such a roller coaster isn't it. I am so sorry you are disappointed and I will save all the 'it only takes one' comments! But stranger things have happened!
I haven't had it myself but I have seen eggs fertilise a little later, sometimes they just take a bit longer to do things, so all hope is not lost!
Focus on positive mindset and getting ready for your transfer. Its really all you can do as so much is out of our control. Thinking of you and keeping my fingers crossed xx
