8dp5dt—when should I do blood test?

So my doctor basically hates me (it feels like) and has no hope for us. For previous transfers he made us wait TWO WEEKS before getting a blood test. This time he did not even really give us an OTD, I just have a prescription to go get an HCG blood test whenever.

So, when is a good safe day to go get it, that doesn't wait unnecessarily long?

Could you pee on a stick first? A first response early result would give you an accurate result tomorrow morning with first morning wee. Then follow up with blood test. At least then you would be prepared and minimises the wait. Fingers crossed for you x

I have pee stick PTSD, would rather just go straight for the blood test. Nothing prepares!

My clinic always advised to test on day 10 past 5 day transfer. Well done for not testing until now!! Fingers crossed 🤞♥️

Thank you, I never test early. Too traumatized by BFNs, I'm in no rush to get them.

My clinic always does bloods on day 9 xx

I tested at home at 9dp5dt and blood test at 10dp5dt. Good luck xx

My clinic also did them 9dp5dt - although my last transfer I did them at 8dp5dt

I had a blood test on 10dp5dt and it was 150 (whatever the measuring unit is...) so it would have been picked up from day 7 I reckon. The clinic would have preferred day 12 but I'm private and was paying for them anyway so... I hope it's good news girl! X

In the US, my doctor tests after days 7 and 9. If negative at 9 he stops all meds. So I’d say do 9 days for bloodwork.
