Dhea supplements

Hi!

After reading it starts with the egg, i had my dhea levels tested and they're at 5.4 which is in the middle of normal. Not sure if i should still try the DHEA tablets still? And if yes, what dose? Any advice welcome! Thanks

Hi Cupcake. You would need to ask and discuss this thoroughly with your consultant to see if he/she agrees with it and also regarding the potential side effects, which are similar to using steroids. A 41 year old lady I spoke with recently who has had treatment with DHEA after several failed attempts at IVF/ICSI, has recently had 8 eggs retrieved after apparently only ever managing 2-3 per cycle. She used it for 2 months. Diane

Hi just found this post. I was wondering if you manage to find a suitable dose? I too have a dheas of 4.9 (considered normal). Max is 12.

Hi there, in the book 'It starts with the egg' the aim is to get DHEA and Testosterone to a level of 300 mcg/dL by using the DHEA supplement. I did and it helped me. Good luck@
