My first round of ivf has just failed and only got one viable embryo from 6 eggs. Only 4 were mature. I have been naturally pregnant several times before but all miscarriages or chemicals. I am pretty frustrated about the protocol I was put on. I received the long protocol with 300 iu of menopur for stims. NHS funded so I know there are limitations, but my friend who is 2 years older, bmi of 37 and amh of 8.3 got more mature eggs from an antagonist protocol. My amh is 10.6 and my bmi is under 30. Should I be on this protocol as well? Those who have had second cycle on nhs, did they review your protocol?

Oh I’m so sorry to hear it has failed have they explored the reasons why you miscarry so often? I’ve read online that this can be linked to low progesterone levels but maybe they need to be looking into this before they try you on IVF again incase there is something they can do to prevent the miscarriages.
Hi Legallyblonde. So sorry to hear of all the failed cyckes and pregnancies you have been through. You could always discuss a change of protocol with your specialist, as it might be what you need. I see you have been checked out for recurrent miscarriages, and wondered, although nothing untoward was found, whether trying low dose soluble aspirin and/or heparin to ensure a good even blood fow to your womb lining and hopefully prevent any blood clot formation. Wishing you all the best and for success next time. Thinking of you. Diane
