Which antibody test suggests that the thyroid gland is being damaged/ will deteriorate over time? Is that the TPO or the thyroglobulin antibodies test?

This is a good question… under the anti TG test, it says the Tg antibodies associated with autoimmune disease. Mine are quite elevated and they’ve gradually increased over time. I also have an elevated TSH that is monitored and controlled with thyroxine.

I asked my endocrinologist about this and he said that it’s the TPO that would be of more concern vs the TG which surprised me. But he told me not to worry about it for now so I’m trusting him and I won’t 🙃 xx

I *think* the thyroglobulin one means your body is attacking your thryroid - as this come up last year on a Medicheck test.... It means that it could lead to Hashimotos in the.future. However all my other thryroid tests were fine so my doctor, IVF doctor and natural fertility specialist werent worried....

However when I saw a miscarriage specialist for this, they flagged up and I will be on Intralipids before my next transfer to try to reduce inflammation. Xx

Thyroid antibodies need to be low in order to support a pregnancyThey slowly but surely distroy your thyroid and have myriad of other implications for your body

They also exhaust the body which is not optimal

Mine were over 100, I was exhausted, in pain with memory loss and a goitre. I also gained weight

NHS was not interested

I went on an anti-inflammatory diet and after 2 months I felt amazing and my endometriosis period pain disappeared

My antibodies are now below 4

I also went on a diet 1.5 years ago. I am a strict versipn of Keto (no fruits expect blueberries), also gluten free and organic only but it has not helped. Anything you recommend eliminating that is not already eliminated in the keto/gluten free? I still eat eggs and milk because I read it’s important for babies (also yogurt and cheese).

I had to do an elimination diet for 4 months. I was on veg ( without nightshades), some fruit, meat, fish, offal, some dairy and eggs

I had to reintroduce may many food groups

Turned out I'm intolerant to:

Gluten, corn, potatoes, peppers, aubergine

And I can only eat small amounts of nuts and no walnuts

Worst is def gluten, corn and potatoes so out of my diet for the past 4 years

😪

How do you find out what you are intolerant to? I have never felt I have any intolerance to anything: my stomach is always fine and my digestion is also good.

Re endometriosis, I don’t have pain but nhs looked and suspected I have it based on scan and adenomyosis

Did you have a laparoscopy for the endometriosis? I am undergoing IVF for fertility, have a lap booked to improve my chances

I chose not too in order to preserve my egg reserve My 5cm endometrioma shrunk to 1cm after the diet.
