Hello. I had my egg retrieval this morning for egg freezing. Managed to get 16 follicles and 14 eggs but I've been told I have OHSS.
I don't feel like I have OHSS. If anything, I'm less sore than my first egg collection but I am bloated. I've been advised that I need to inject centrotide for a further 5 days at a double dose to treat the OHSS.
Has anyone else used cetrotide to treat OHSS. Has anyone else felt like they didn't have OHSS and then get hit by it a few days later?

That’s a good result, 14 eggs. I had OHSS but they knew about it before egg collection so was just pleased that the egg collection could go ahead.
My main symptoms were bloating and fatigue. Things usually resolve when you get your period. I was told to have a high protein diet and a lot of water (3+ litres/day). Unfortunately I got worse but this was gradual rather that hitting me suddenly. I was resting probably too much. I’d recommend keeping active as much as you can to help your circulation. If you feel worse (even if worse isn’t that bad) contact the doctor. I wasn’t given any medication initially (they stopped all meds before egg collection because of the ohss) but did need close monitoring and InHixa injections to get me through ok. Fine now though and hoping for my first FET soon. Best of luck!
Thank you for the advice! I will follow the practical tips. Although I have been binging on carbs. 😬 And good to know how the symtoms might come on. I am surprised to hear that 14 eggs can cause OHSS in others to.
