Hi guys, we had our second FET yesterday! Aside from a tricky cervix and a difficult time getting the catheter in again our transfer went so well. Little embryo thawed perfectly, saw it pop out of the catheter and start paying up towards the top of the my womb hopefully getting snug!
OTD 26th June - does anyone else have the same OTD?
So question is what are you guys doing to help with hayfever ! It’s come along thick and fast the last few days. I keep windows closed, Vaseline on nostrils, change clothes when I get in. I was taking antihistamines until a few days ago. The nurse at the clinic said I could continue I just don’t know if I want to. Anyone taking them? Or trying to ride it out?

I was going to ask my clinic today about treating hay fever as I seem to have it bad this year! I just don’t want to take any more tablets, feel like I’m overloaded already!! Interested to see what everyone else says too! Xx
I’m having donor transfer in July. I’m not sure either. Have been taking over the counter ones this year (I normally take stringer ones on prescription) but unsure if should take them after transfer. When having cycle last year consultant said that nasal spray and eye drops ok as localised but not to take tablets. I’ll be interested to see what your clinic say too!
I take antihistamine, I got them from the doctor as there are some types you should avoid. So they gave me the ones you can take when pregnant. Good luck xx
I would check with the doc. I am on prescription double dose of Cetirizine and the doc and clinic said i have to drop back to normal over the counter dose whilst going through treatment. They did say normal dose ie one a day should be fine. Good luck the hay fever is horrible this year.
Hi Mai. Oh dear! Don't suffer. See what your clinic recommends, otherwise contact your GP. Usually the non-drowsy ones are safe to take, but stop when pregnant. Good luck! Diane
Thank you Diane! Today has been a struggle, I’ve locked myself indoors now. I’m a tad confused as the clinic said it was fine to take anti-histamines, A doctor or nurse practitioner from my surgery called about something totally different today and I asked, they said absolutely not, as not in pregnancy. A doctor I know said it’s ok to take just the usual not enough evidence.
So I’m torn! I will try and hold off as long as I can I think. Just a long as sneezing 30+ times in one afternoon won’t affect the little embryo 😂
Hi. My understanding is that it is safe to take non-drwsy histamines or ones you sniff up the nose and eye drops. However, you should stop once pregnant. Diane
