So we are looking at foreign clinics (providing Boris can let us back into the country once we are done!) and have looked around at a few from Greece and a few from Czech republic.
One Greek clinic offered a very interesting course for those with low AMH just like us which we had never had offered to us before so I thought I would post it and see if anyone has had a similar course. The clinic said that for low AMHers they recommend 2 cycles of stimulation followed by one transfer. Essentially you would get two egg retrievals back to back and after the second you would get transfer of either the fresh, the frozen or a combination.
They also said that there would be no benefit in remaining on such a high dose of drugs such as my wife was on in her previous cycle (375 gonal-f) and that we should have a milder level. I have heard of this course of treatment method, but would love to hear of people's experience of this.
So anyone gone down this route? Are there clinics in the UK that offer this course as well - particularly given that we may be about to go through another bloody covid wave and foreign travel would be restricted.

Hi, im on a similar plan in the UK with a natural/mild IVF clinic in wimbledon. i am meant to be having 3 mild IVF cycles back to back with the 3rd cycle including a transfer. however last week i went in to collect my two eggs only to be told i have ovulated with one of them. im not impressed. im on a low dose with a short protocol too.
Hi Rumi40. I'm sorry to hear you've not had much success. Thanks for sharing. It seems a more common treatment than I first thought. I hope that your next cycles prove more fruitful. Good luck with your process.
Hi, Thanks for asking this question. I had my first round of IVF in Denmark and they were of this opinion to have fewer eggs produced but of good quality. So they put me on Gonal F 300 iu. They were hoping for 1 egg and 2 would be a bonus. I produced 4 eggs and they transferred 2 embryos 48 hrs after. That cycle was not successful. Due to the pandemic and stress of travelling i decided to stay in UK for the next round. This time they advised Gonal F 300 + Menoopur 150 iu..short protocol. I produced 4 eggs, which became 4 embryos. We used an embryoscope and had 1 blastocyst which did implant. However foetus stopped growing at 6weeks. Sad yes but also excited to know i could get pregnant. I`m 43 years old. Has anyone been placed on a similar protocol? I`m torn between the two differing theories.
Thanks for sharing your journey Nadia09. It's great that you were able to get so far with it. I'm sorry you were not ultimately successful but great that you are encouraged by the results. Keeping positive is part of the journey.
My AMH is low: 0.69. Doctor had me on Follistim 300 units daily for about 3-4 days then he changed it to 450units daily and Menopur 150 units daily. Stimmed for an entire 2 weeks. 13 eggs collected. 9 matured, 9 fertilized and out of those 9, 1 transferred at day 5 fresh. 5 remained to be frozen.
There is a clinic in London that specialise in mild IVF which is basically what you are describing. They even have open days online which you can attend. They offer back to back cycles as well. I can PM you the details.
