In need of reassurance

Hi everyone. I’m sad to say I had a BFN last week. It was confirmed on Monday. I was off progesterone and estrofem tablets then. My period has just arrived and I have never experienced anything like the pain. It has me feeling weak and the sharp pain is very strong. My period is much heavier than usual which I was told to expect. Any advice on this and when it will pass? Thank you. Feeling very sad and sore x

I’m so sorry about your BFN. The bleed I had after mine in early February was very heavy and crampy, much more so than usual. It also lasted longer than my normal period which is only 3-4 days normally but this one was about a week (although gradually wearing off during that time). Take paracetamol and you can now have those warm baths and hot water bottles that aren’t allowed in the 2ww. If you are in a lot of pain or bleeding seems unusually heavy do check with your clinic or GP. Hope you feel better soon x

I had an extremely painful period after my BFN too, so much so that I was awake in the night crying and we debated calling NHS 111. The pain and cramps lasted for about a day and then it was heavy bleeding for a few days and my period went on for longer than usual. Paracetamol and hot water bottles helped. I hope you feel better soon x
