I just got a BFN 6dpt3dt

I'm distraught.

I had cramping the last few days and white discharge sorry tmi but I'm on progesterone so might just be that.

Is this just too early to test?

Or is it all over?

That was our only NHS round and all the other eggs arrested so couldn't be frozen. This was our one miracle grade 1embryo.

I feel so down.:( I can't bring myself to tell my partner yet.

Hi

I’m unsure if the grading not that, that matters.

I have always been told to test 9 - 10 days after transfer - that is for a 5 day blasts.

When did your clinic tell you to test?

I would suggest from experience 6 days is far far too early

You are testing very early for 3 day transfer. I’ve only known women to test from 5 days on a 5 day transfer so I would definitely wait until closer to test day. Best of luck xx

Thank you guys. And at my clinic grade 1 is the best embryo it goes 1-5. But it was our only one that survived and was transferred on day 3 as the others were developing too slow and in the end didn't make it to day 5 so we have no frozen ones. It's our first icsi round and only one on the NHS. I'm 29 and my partner is 27 with male factor infertility. But it makes me question if my eggs are not good enough. They told us the egg they transferred on day 3 was top quality. I had cramps the other day and felt really sick but I think it's the progesterone..

So it 6 days after a 3 day transfer too early to test?

They told us not to test until day 14 but my brain got the better of me

I would suggest never to test early, if they’ve told you to test on day 14 then test on day 14, because by testing early you are potentially causing yourself unnecessary stress!

If on day 14, it’s still a BFN then there are lots of questions you may want to cover with the consultant or embryologist

Firstly what caught my attention is you say all your other embryos have arrested! So why is this?! I’ve not seen any other posts where ladies or men say their embryos have arrested (that’s not to say it hasn’t happened)

So with the male factor infertility- what tests have been done DNA fragmentation? Immunology etc - depending on what tests they’ve done or not done what have they done to sort out the issue?!

It’s way too early to test, so don’t worry, you could still have a positive result. I’ve tested early at 9dp5dt and it’s been accurate by this point, so you need to wait till 11 days post, for a 3 day transfer I would have thought. Hope this helps xx

As others have said, it’s still early to test, if you can hold on a few more days and test again it will be more accurate, it’s incredibly hard I know, I am a self-confessed early tester! Xx
