Miscarriage: is it normal to have no cramping at all?

I miscarried at 6wk4d in March. Empty gestational sac.

I had absolutely no cramps at all. And passed the sac within three days of starting the miscarriage heavy bleed (no medical management or surgery). Is that normal?

It seems as if that is an anomaly.

Anyone else had no cramps?

Same exact for me. I had blighted ovum last year and also no cramps, just got spontaneous bleeding at 6 weeks plus. Bleeding wasn't super heavy and then turned to spotting for like 3 weeks.

Many thanks for the reply, Marisa32. (I kept wondering whether that is normal.)

Did you try again? I hope things worked out for you in the end. ☮️

Yeah I did try after. The blighted ovum was actually a result of my first IUI on clomid. I gave up on IVF due to low AMH and poor response to stims. I did another IUI right after but BFN. Then I moved on to donor eggs but got pregnant naturally right before arranging the DE transfer. 20 weeks now, so hopefully this random egg was the One! The natural pregnancy actually happened only 3 months after the MC, so you never know.

I had no pain and it was just the fact I passed a big clot that I knew it had happened. It’s a crap situation, hope you’re feeling ok x

I didn’t have much pain, just a lot of bleeding and passed a large clot about 6 hours after the bleeding started.

I have since gone on to have a successful pregnancy and my little boy is now 15 months old.

It’s a crap situation when it happens, but it doesn’t mean it will happen again in future xx

Same for me. Honestly it felt like I was having a normal period (I barely cramp during my period). Was advised to take Tylenol if I felt pain but nothing. Which I suppose was a good thing since I was emotionally drained.

I have miscarried at 6W5D, it started as brown discharge and after 3 days turned into red spotting which leads to bleeding n ended horribly. I didn't had any cramps during spotting and the sac passed naturally.I wish you all the best 🌼 and hope things goes well with you.
